Product description

GENKRAFT small diesel generator, 6-35 kVA, 50 Hz

Need three-phase power for a small load, farm or workshop where the grid is unavailable or unreliable? A GENKRAFT small diesel generator covers exactly this segment: stable three-phase power from 6 to 35 kVA, either as standby or prime power.

It is one configurable product across the full range: choose the power rating, enclosure and options. A small diesel generator delivers three-phase power at 400 V and 50 Hz, with prime and standby ratings, and can start automatically on grid failure while supporting motor starts without voltage drops.

Advantages of a GENKRAFT small three-phase diesel generator

  • Configurable 6-35 kVA range: choose the right power for your loads without paying for unused capacity.
  • Prime and standby ratings according to ISO 8528, so you know exactly what the small diesel generator delivers in each operating mode.
  • Stable 400 / 230 V, 50 Hz power, matching the Romanian grid standard and suitable for your loads.
  • Automatic start on grid failure with an optional ATS panel, allowing the small diesel generator to take over the loads without human intervention.
  • Two configurations: open for installation in a technical room and soundproof enclosed for low-noise outdoor installation.
  • Liquid-cooled diesel engine selected for low consumption and reliable operation, more economical than a petrol generator.
  • CE marking and conformity documentation, making the small diesel generator eligible for projects financed with European funds.
  • Direct-supplier pricing without the markup of an expensive brand: you pay for the technology and components, not the name on the enclosure.

Technical specifications for the small diesel generator

The small diesel generator belongs to a unified range; the power rating changes while the technical platform remains the same. The values below are actual prime and standby ratings. Exact dimensions and weight are confirmed in the datasheet for each power step.

How to choose the right power

Sizing starts with the loads the generator must support: small motors, power tools, pumps, ventilation, lighting and workshop equipment. Add their power requirements, then include a reserve for motor starting currents, which can briefly be several times higher than nominal current.

Do not oversize excessively: a generator that runs underloaded for long periods does not operate at its optimum point. Send us your load list and we will size the right step in the 6-35 kVA range and tell you whether a small diesel generator covers the requirement or whether you need the next rating.

Operating mode and autonomy

ISO 8528 defines prime power (PRP), available for an unlimited number of hours per year, and emergency standby power (ESP), available for a limited number of hours without overload. This range is rated for both, so it can operate as either the main source or backup.

Autonomy depends on tank capacity and load. The integrated tank covers typical operation, while extended use can be supported by a larger tank. Diesel consumption at 75% and 100% load is stated in the datasheet for each rating.

Why diesel

For a load that operates frequently or for long periods, diesel clearly outperforms petrol: lower fuel consumption at the same power, greater autonomy and a much longer service life under intensive use. The operating cost per hour is significantly lower.

Unlike a UPS, which covers only a few minutes, a diesel generator can support the load for hours or days as long as fuel is available. That makes it the right backup choice for an office, farm or workshop.

Components and construction

The technical platform is common across the range: liquid-cooled diesel engine, brushless alternator with 100% copper windings and automatic voltage regulator, controller with protections, and a frame with anti-vibration mounts for stable installation.

Components are selected for dependable starting and easy spare-parts support. A generator built on a unified platform is easier to maintain and troubleshoot, regardless of the selected power rating.

Configurations and options

Each small diesel generator is available open for a technical room or in a soundproof enclosure for low-noise outdoor installation. The enclosure protects the equipment from weather and makes it suitable for placement next to a building.

Options include an ATS automation panel for automatic mains-generator transfer, an extended tank for greater autonomy, an industrial socket and a monitoring system. The exact configuration is determined by your loads and installation site.

Applications and industries for a small diesel generator

A small diesel generator is used in metal workshops, farms, shops, small production halls and remote work sites. Where the three-phase grid connection is unavailable or weak, the generator powers motors, power tools and ventilation systems as the prime power source.

As a standby source, a small three-phase diesel generator automatically takes over critical loads during an outage: pumps, refrigeration systems, lighting and IT equipment. The soundproof enclosed version allows low-noise outdoor installation next to a hall or greenhouse.

For telecom sites, pumping stations and small construction sites, a small diesel generator ensures continuity. See the full GENKRAFT diesel generator range for higher power ratings, or request sizing from the GENKRAFT technical team. The equipment meets the applicable requirements for CE-marked machinery, in line with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

Whatever the application, a small diesel generator delivers the same stable power, with optional automatic starting and an enclosure selected for the installation site. The same technical platform across the 6-35 kVA range means common parts and predictable service.

Installation, delivery and documentation

As a reseller, we prepare every order to the selected configuration: power, enclosure and options. Delivery time therefore depends on the configuration and is confirmed in the quotation together with the final price.

At delivery, the equipment comes with CE marking and conformity documentation. On request, we provide the technical datasheet and certifications needed for a financing file. Electrical connection and commissioning are carried out by an authorised electrician according to the site design.

How it works

A small diesel generator follows a simple sequence from grid failure to restoration:

  1. The mains sensor detects loss of supply or a voltage deviation in the public grid.
  2. The ATS automation panel commands the diesel engine to start and disconnects the mains.
  3. The generator reaches rated speed and the alternator delivers stable voltage.
  4. Within a few seconds of the outage, the ATS transfers the load to the generator without human intervention.
  5. When mains power returns, the system transfers the loads back and stops the engine after the cool-down period.
  6. The controller monitors operating parameters and shuts the set down on protection events, signalling alarms.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose a small three-phase diesel generator instead of a single-phase one?

Choose the three-phase version when you have three-phase loads such as motors, compressors or 400 V machinery. If all loads are 230 V, a single-phase model is sufficient. Send us your load list and we will tell you which version fits.

How much power do I need?

Add up the power of the loads and include a reserve for motor starts, which require a current peak. A small diesel generator that is too small will not start the motors, while one that is too large will operate inefficiently. Send us the list and we will size it for you.

Can it start automatically when the mains power fails?

Yes. With an ATS automatic transfer panel, a small three-phase diesel generator starts automatically when the grid fails and stops when the grid returns, without human intervention. The ATS is optional and is included in the quotation when requested.

Can it be installed outdoors?

Yes, in the soundproof enclosed version. The enclosure protects against weather and reduces noise, allowing a small diesel generator to operate next to a building without disrupting activity.

What maintenance does it require?

Basic maintenance means checking the oil, filters, coolant and battery at the intervals specified in the manual. The digital controller provides early alarm indications, and regular maintenance ensures a long service life.

Can it be monitored remotely?

Yes, optionally. With the monitoring module, generator status, fuel level and alarms can be viewed remotely over the network, which is useful for unattended sites.

How do I order and receive a quote?

Choose the power rating and configuration, then request a quote. We confirm the configuration, price and delivery time. Because each unit is prepared to order, you receive exactly the version suited to your project.

Do you deliver nationwide?

Yes, we deliver throughout Romania. Electrical connection and commissioning are performed by an authorised electrician in accordance with the site's electrical design, and we provide the required technical documentation.

Is it eligible for projects funded by European funds?

Yes. The equipment comes with CE marking and conformity documentation, so it can be included in co-financed investment projects. On request, we provide the technical datasheet and certifications for the financing file.

Compact, three-phase and configurable across the entire small-power range, a GENKRAFT small diesel generator can power a workshop or farm at direct-supplier pricing.
