Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect through genkraft.com, for what purpose, and what rights you have under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Data controller
The website genkraft.com is operated by Genkraft, a manufacturer of diesel generators. You can contact us on any matter regarding your data through the contact form or at office@genkraft.com.
Data we collect
- Form data: name, email, phone, company, tax ID and the message you send when you request a quotation or contact us.
- Public company data: if you enter a company tax ID, we may complete the request with public data (name, city, activity code, VAT status) from public registers, in order to prepare a relevant offer.
- Technical data: IP address and access logs collected by the hosting provider, plus your language preference.
- Analytics data: anonymous traffic statistics (see the Cookie Policy).
We do not collect special categories of personal data.
Purposes and legal basis
- to respond to requests and prepare offers (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, pre-contractual measures);
- to perform contracts, including delivery, installation and warranty;
- to ensure the security of the website and prevent fraud (Art. 6(1)(f), legitimate interest);
- to comply with tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c));
- to measure traffic and send marketing communications, based on consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.
Storage period
Contact form data is kept for the duration of active interest, up to 3 years from the last interaction. Contracts and invoices are kept for 10 years, in line with accounting law. Technical logs are kept for a maximum of 12 months.
Data sharing
We may share data with the hosting provider (Vercel Inc., USA), the email provider, the request management tool, logistics and installation partners, and with public authorities where required by law. All these processors are contractually bound to comply with the GDPR.
Transfers outside the EEA
The operator is established in the European Union and the main processing of data takes place in the EU. Certain technical processors, such as the hosting provider and the analytics tool, are located outside the European Economic Area (for example in the USA). For these transfers we apply the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses or other appropriate safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent. You can exercise these rights through the contact form or at office@genkraft.com.
Complaint to an authority
You may lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP, www.dataprotection.ro) or with the supervisory authority in your country.
Data security
We use TLS encryption for all transmissions and restricted access to the database. Even so, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, despite reasonable protection measures.
Changes
We may update this policy to reflect technical, legal or practical changes. Continued use of the website after the changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised version.
